| I've been slightly angel obsessed for many years now. So I started work in 05 on a book entirely devoted to them. My angels though. LOL. They aren't anything close to the mainstream version. My angels inhabit a heaven that is absent of God, though not the grace. All of the pleorma knows that God has become the earth (And perhaps other worlds as well) They know that humanity's soul-evolution is somehow the key to waking the all, but they are greatly divided on how to help. And so there has been a cold war in heaven for millennia by our reckoning. The result of this is that the angelic host has been divided into factions and sub-factions beyond numbering. Each has different ideas on how to wake the world up. There are enough factions to account for every belief system on earth. They all meddle. Sometimes they appear as angels, sometimes as demigods. Thor, Shiva, Loki, Animal spirit guides, Diana, Anubis... all angels. They influence our history in a billion different directions. They all mean well. The power in heaven falls to four *major* factions. The Order of the Briar Rose: Who think humans can only achieve true Gnosis, (grace) through suffering. Oddly enough these are the pranksters of the bunch. It was one of these who whispered in Oral Robert's ear claiming to be God, and told him to raise a million or be murdered. This was done to purposefully turn people away from the Baptist faith. *it worked too* The Order of the Serpent (Ouroboros): The most neo gnostic of all the orders. They believe the way to awakening is through soul alchemy. And they encourage us by making the synchronicities happen in our lives that lead us toward that goal. The order of the Dove: Who believe that the way to awakening should be gentle, through peace and love. They keep to that faith even though few find the true path so easily. The Archonites: These dudes are scary. They are the fundamentalists in heaven. They believe that only those who wake on their own without help deserve the grace. and that the rest deserve only annihilation (souldeath) Unfortunately for humanity, these are the angels who have the most political clout in heaven, a holdover from the dawn of creation, when the angles were still very jealous of the flesh. Fortunately tides change. As humans wake in greater numbers, the power the Archonites wield is slipping from their grip. Heaven and Hell are the same place. But only the awakened get to see it. The rest of us get recycled into fresh souls. The book opens on a conversation between two of the oldest Angels of (Death/Awakening) Samael and Azazel. They hatch a plan to defy the Pleormic Law by waking a sleeper marked for death. Jove, the sleeper in question also bears the mark of Cain, but that won't be revealed for a while yet. And BOY is Samael going to be ticked. But it'll all work out well in the end. Maybe. So it begins. |

"The desire of power in excess caused angels to fall. The desire of knowledge in excess caused man to fall. But in love and charity there is no excess, neither can man or angels come into danger by it."
